Summer, Fall Walks For Wishes Support Make-A-Wish Chapters Nationwide

August 6, 2014

Late summer and early fall is a great time to get outside. In some parts of the country, it's the last chance to get out and enjoy the warm weather before winter comes. Plus you get to see some the beauty of fall with the leaves changing colors. For Make-A-Wish chapters across the country, it's an opportunity for one last Walk For Wishes fundraiser before winter.

In September and October there are six chapters hosting walks around the country and each offer an opportunity to help Make-A-Wish chapters reach their goals of helping a wish come true to a child with a critical illness.

Metro and Western New York Walk For Wishes

Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, N.Y., is hosting the Metro and Western New York walk on Sept. 6. Families, friends, corporations, clubs and schools are invited to walk together and raise funds for local children facing critical illnesses. Raise $100 or more to get a commemorative event t-shirt.
